BestSissyScarves is a hand-dyed silk scarf business developed as a tribute to my “best sissy” who died of breast cancer in 2006 at the young age of 50. Ten percent of the proceeds are donated to breast cancer prevention and research in the hopes that other families do not lose a bright star like my sis.

I have experimented with all types of crafts over the years but dyeing silk scarves captured me like nothing else. I have taken several classes over the past 6 years. I love the feel of the fabric and the interesting ways that dye swirls and mixes to form beautiful patterns on the silk. No one is ever the same!
